Just finished the third course in the Business Foundations specialization from Wharton Business School. The course was called Introduction to Operations Management, and was mainly about computations about performance of processes and utilization of ressources.
There are no prerequisites for the course except some basic math and probability theory. It covers the following topics: process analysis, bottlenecks, flows rates, and inventory levels, and more.
Did I like it? Yes. I found it interesting to get some words and terms on process performance management, especially since we build support for process data warehousing and reporting into Effektor a couple of years ago. And I got inspiration for additional reporting on process data.
The professor was super cool and well prepared, exercises hard enough to be challenging, so all in all a good course.
