My learning efforts in 2014 was centered around learning as much as possible about SQL Server to pass my MCSE exams. Last year (2015), I dedicated my brain to business courses at Yale and Coursera. Now, I've had it. There are no more excuses. I need to dive into this beast of .net programming for the modern web. Therefore I have dedicated my 2016 learning time to these topics.
I intend to learn and study through Pluralsight courses and have created the "curriculum" beneath for myself. I intend to start from the top and work myself down.
Comment aside: My working experience with programming with or without .net is
2 years experience with PHP/Perl programming (2000-2001)
5 day course on c# 2.0 (2003)
5 years experience with functional programming (2002-2008)
5 years experience with web programming (non IIS old style) (2002-2008)
5 months position as a .net programmer (2005)
6 years experience with SQL Server and BI stack (2009-2015
A bit of Powershell scripting from time to time (2009-)
Please, please, please help me out here, if you have ideas about how to approve the curriculum. It could be alternative courses and/or change of priorities.
During the next year, I intend to document my learning experience here on the blog. Stay posted for this.
